Seattle, WA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in the Eastlake neighbourhood of Seattle on Tuesday morning.
According to the Seattle Police Department, the crash happened just before 6:42 a.m. in the area of Eastlake Avenue East and East Hamlin Street.
A homeless man was sleeping in the roadway when he was ran over by a compost truck.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, died at the scene.
The driver stayed at the scene and was not suspected to have been impaired.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
