According to Richland police, the accident happened at the Goethals Drive and Abbot Street intersection.
The pedestrian was trying to walk across the intersection when they were struck by the vehicle.
The driver reportedly said they were unable to see the pedestrian due to rain and the victim's dark clothing.
Police reported that the pedestrian was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Richland Police Department is investigating the accident.
