Twentynine Palms, CA – Two people, including a pedestrian, were injured following a traffic collision caused by a suspected DUI motorcyclist on Indian Trail in Twentynine Palms on Saturday morning.
The accident happened at about 11:30 a.m. on September 6 at around 11:30 a.m. on westbound lane of Indian Trail, east of Morongo Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a male rider, identified as Chaz Lithgow, 33, of Twentynine Palms, was driving a 2024 Suzuki Motorcycle westbound on Indian Trail when he collided with a Toyota Camry and struck a 40-year-old male pedestrian.
Lithgow and the pedestrian suffered moderate injuries and were both transported to Desert Regional Medical Center.
CHP said a preliminary investigation revealed that Lithgow was driving while under the influence of alcohol. CHP recommended felony DUI charges against Lithgow. No arrests have been made yet.
