Preliminary reports indicate that a 48-year-old Spring Hill woman was driving a Volkswagen Jetta southbound on US 19 when she tried to make a U-turn at Clark Street

Pasco County, CA – A Spring Hill woman is dead and another hospitalized after an early Tuesday morning crash that took place in Pasco County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two vehicles were involved in the wreck on US 19 and Clark Street shortly before 3:30 a.m. March 10.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 48-year-old Spring Hill woman was driving a Volkswagen Jetta southbound on US 19 when she tried to make a U-turn at Clark Street. The Volkswagen ended up in the northbound side and was hit by an oncoming Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 45-year-old Spring Hill woman.
According to the FHP, the 45-year-old driver was declared deceased at the site of the collision while the second driver suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatement.
The names of the involved drivers were withheld by the authorities.
At this time, no additional information on the incident has been released. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
