Palmdale, CA – One person was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on East Avenue O in Palmdale late Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal wreck happened at about 10:16 p.m. on May 2, 2026, on East Avenue O, just west of 190th Street East.
A preliminary investigation showed that a white Toyota Land Cruiser struck a pedestrian in the roadway under circumstances that were not immediately determined.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional injuries or arrests have been reported.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and secured the area while coordinating with additional agencies.
The incident led to the closure of Avenue O at 185th Street East, and a SigAlert was issued as authorities conducted their investigation and awaited the coroner.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal crash.
