Palmdale, CA – The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified the two drivers who died in a traffic collision that happened Saturday night at an intersection in Palmdale.
17-year-old Aiden Marroquin and 21-year-old Hugo Calderon were killed in the crash that happened around 11 p.m. on May 30 at Avenue N and 10th Street.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale Station, a black Lexus LS400 traveling south on 10th Street collided with a white Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck traveling east on Avenue N when both vehicles entered the intersection simultaneously. It was unclear which vehicle had the right of way.
Marroquin and Calderon were the drivers of the vehicles and died at the scene. According to the medical examiner, they both died from multiple blunt-force traumatic injuries suffered in the accident. Authorities did not mention the specific car that each driver was driving.
Four other people were hospitalized, including one who required to be airlifted.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Palmdale, CA – Two people died, and four others were hospitalized after two vehicles collided Saturday night at Avenue N and 10th Street in Palmdale.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Palmdale Station, the wreck occurred around 11 p.m., involving two cars that entered the intersection at the same time.
Just prior to the collision, a black Lexus LS400 was traveling south on 10th Street West, and a white Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was heading east on Avenue N.
Authorities said both vehicles entered the intersection simultaneously and collided.
It was unclear which vehicle had the right of way.
First responders pronounced both drivers dead at the scene.
One person was airlifted to a hospital in unknown condition, and three others were also taken to the hospital by ground ambulance, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
