Palmdale, CA – At least two people suffered major injuries early Tuesday morning after a solo vehicle collision on State Route 14 in Palmdale, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Preliminary details from the CHP incident log indicate a solo vehicle came off the freeway and landed on 10th Street West just under SR-14, blocking the northbound 10th Street West two-lane roadway and the freeway entrance lane. The vehicle reportedly went “over the side” prior to coming to rest in its final position.
Two parties involved in the incident were transported to Antelope Valley Hospital (AVH) with major injuries. No information about arrests has been released by CHP.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation, but CHP and responding units were on scene conducting debris checks on the mainline northbound side of the on-ramp.
CHP and assisting agencies began clearing the scene shortly after arriving. Palmdale Sheriff's units were notified to assist with information sharing, and additional units checked the mainline for debris to ensure roadway safety.
