Orinda, CA – One person was injured in a traffic collision that took place on Monday afternoon in Orinda, according to the California Highway Patrol logs reported.
At around 2:50 p.m. on February 16, authorities were notified about a collision on the eastbound State Route 24 just west of Camino Pablo off-ramp.
According to authorities, a Volkswagen SUV and another car collided for an unknown reason. One of the cars also struck a light pole.
The Contra Costa Fire Department responded to the scene.
One person was taken to John Muir Walnut Creek Medical Center with minor injuries.
Several traffic lanes were shut down following the collision. The lanes were back open at about 3:58 p.m.
Orinda has consistently low counts of serious car crashes compared with other California cities of similar size.
