According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 4 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 80, just east of the Ashby Avenue on-ramp.
A motorcycle and a car were involved in the collision.
Berkeley firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes.
The firefighters transported one person to the hospital with minor injuries.
The motorcycle was towed away with a broken axle.
