Encinitas, CA. – One person was injured in a DUI accident that happened Thursday afternoon in Encinitas, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision was reported around 5:19 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near Leucadia Boulevard.
A silver Honda CR-V and a BMW were involved in the crash.
A female occupant in the Honda was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas with minor injuries.
The report said impairment was a factor contributing to the crash but did not mention if the suspect was arrested.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
