, CA.– One person was killed in a collision between two vehicles in Martinez on Friday evening, according to the authorities.

The wreck happened at about 6:38 p.m. March 7, on Avenue and Elderwood Drive.

According to the report, the two vehicles collided in the area under unclear circumstances.

The Martinez Police Department and Police Department responded to the scene and gave aid to the victims until the Fire District and AMR arrived.

One of the drivers was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The other driver had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to John Muir Medical Center.

The accident is under investigation.
