Petaluma, Calif. – One person was hospitalized after a traffic collision involving a big rig that happened Friday morning on Highway 101 in Petaluma, the California Highway Patrol said.

The collision happened around 9:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes just north of the E Washington Street off-ramp.

A blue Toyota Prius collided with a big rig for unknown reasons.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and transported one person to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Prius was towed away with moderate front-end damage.

The lanes Nos. 2 and 3 were temporarily closed following the accident.
