Oceanside, CA – Two people were injured in a car accident that took place at a bridge in Oceanside on Sunday night, according to the Oceanside Fire Department.
At about 10:30 p.m. April 5, authorities received reports of a crash at El Camino Real and Mesa Drive.
Investigations into the incident found that two vehicles crashed and the impact caused both of them to overturn. One of them came to a rest leaning against a light pole and partially over the bridge.
Crews with the Oceanside Fire Department were dispatched to the scene and they worked to extricate a trapped driver.
The drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles. They were both rushed to a hospital and were said to be in stable condition.
Roads were temporarily shut down in the area as authorities worked to clear the scene.
