Oakland, CA – At least one person was hurt when two vehicles collided Saturday afternoon in Oakland, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident occurred just before 2 p.m. on October 24, 2026, on the Redwood Road on-ramp to the eastbound Interstate 580.

A dark-blue Tesla collided with a silver car for unknown reasons. One of the vehicles also hit a fire hydrant, causing water to spew into the air.

At least one person suffered minor injuries in the accident.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
