Oakland, CA – 1 Person Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Collision on State Route 24

The incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. on eastbound State Route 20, just west of the Broadway off-ramp.

Oakland, CA – One person was sent to the hospital after a three-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon in Oakland, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. on September 4, 2026, on eastbound State Route 20, just west of the Broadway off-ramp.

According to CHP logs, a black Hyundai Santa Cruz, a white Toyota SUV, and a third vehicle were involved in the collision.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported one person to Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center with the complaint of pain to the left knee, back, neck, and left hand.

The Toyota and the Hyundai were towed away from the scene.

CHP officers are investigating the cause of the crash.
