Northridge, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a vehicle collision on Nordoff Street in Northridge on Wednesday night, the Police Department reported.

At about 10:06 p.m. December 17, the LAPD was notified of a major collision at the intersection of Nordoff Street and Louise Avenue.

According to a preliminary investigation, a motorcyclist and a vehicle were both traveling east on Nordoff Street when they got into an accident for unspecified reasons.

The LAPD officers and medics responded to the scene to attend to the parties involved in the accident.

The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. His name was not immediately released.

The other motorist was unhurt and stayed at the scene after the accident.

The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
