According to the California Highway Patrol, the pileup occurred around 5:45 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, just south of the Monterey Street off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pileup occurred around 5:45 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, just south of the Monterey Street off-ramp.
Six vehicles were involved in the accident.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and helped an unknown number of persons who sustained minor injuries.
CHP is investigating the collision.
