Rider Suffers Major Injuries in Highway 237 Motorcycle Crash near First Street Off-Ramp in San Jose
San Jose, California (June 21, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a truck Tuesday morning in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck took place at about 8:24 a.m. on westbound Highway 237, just east of the North First Street off-ramp.
According to CHP, a rider on a black fully-dressed Harley-Davidson collided with a gray truck under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.
The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries in the crash. The victim was hospitalized in unknown condition.
The male driver of the truck was cited for an unknown traffic violation at the scene.
The report said the driver of a Tesla advised authorities they had a recording of the collision.
CHP is investigating to establish the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
