San Jose, CA. – A motorcyclist was killed Friday afternoon following a collision with a vehicle near San Jose High School, authorities reported.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the crash occurred around 5:48 p.m. at North 24th Street and Bulldog Boulevard.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

North 24th Street was closed between St. James Street and St. John Street for several hours.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
