Eugene, OR.- A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision in Eugene on Saturday morning, according to the Eugene Police Department.

The incident took place in the area of River Road and Irvington Drive at about 10 a.m. March 29.

A black sedan reportedly collided with a motorcyclist at the intersection under unclear circumstances.

The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at a hospital.

Roads were closed in the area as authorities investigated the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
