San Marcos, CA – One person was injured following a two-vehicle collision on State Route 78 in San Marcos on Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:22 p.m. on October 28, 2025, on State Route 78 westbound near Nordahl Road.
According to CHP, emergency crews responded to reports of a rider down in the slow lane.
Authorities said the incident involved a motorcycle and a silver Lexus. The rider reportedly collided with the Lexus before coming to rest in the roadway.
The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was transported to Palomar Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported, and no arrests were made in connection with the crash.
Tow trucks were called to remove the involved vehicles, and traffic was temporarily affected as responders worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
