Sonora, CA.– A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a collision in Sonora on Friday afternoon, the Sonora Police Department reported.
At around 3:34 p.m. November 7, authorities responded to reports of a collision on East Lyons Street, north of Hope Lane.
A 2014 Harley motorcycle rider was heading west on East Lyons Street when they attempted to overtake a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was turning into a private drive.
The motorcyclist ended up colliding with the truck.
The motorcyclist was transported with minor injuries.
Police reported that impairment was not suspected to have played a role.
The incident is under investigation.
