Garden Grove, CA. – A 20-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured after colliding with a pickup Friday afternoon near an intersection in Garden Grove.

According to the Garden Grove Police Department, the accident took place around 1 p.m. in the 12500 block of Magnolia Street near Lampson Avenue.

Investigators determined that the motorcyclist was riding a 2018 Silver Aprilia RSV4 motorcycle when he collided with a 2023 black Chevrolet Silverado.

The rider was unresponsive, with severe injuries suffered in the collision.

The County Fire Authority responded to the scene shortly after the crash and provided life-saving measures to the victim.

The motorcyclist was transported to a trauma center, where he was listed in critical condition.

The driver of the pickup truck stopped and cooperated with authorities.

Details about the manner and cause of the crash were not provided.
