, CA – A motorcycle rider was injured in a two-vehicle traffic collision on southbound in East Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred at approximately 4:09 p.m. on October 22 on southbound I-710 near the I-5 junction.

The collision involved a motorcycle and a gray Nissan Altima.

Responding crews found the motorcycle down in the number one lane and was blocking the HOV lane.

Emergency responders from the Fire Department transported the injured motorcycle rider to LAC+USC Medical Center.

Tow services were requested to respond with a flatbed tow .

The incident caused lane blockages and emergency response activities on the highway.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
