Moreno Valley, CA – Two people were injured following a three-vehicle crash at an intersection in Moreno Valley late Thursday morning, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Campus Parkway and Day Street, just south of the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway, at approximately 11:05 a.m. on April 9.
Authorities reported that the collision involved three vehicles that sustained substantial damage and were partially blocking the intersection. Details on how the crash occurred and the direction of travel of the involved vehicles were not immediately released.
Two motorists suffered minor to moderate injuries and were transported to Riverside University Medical Center for treatment. A third individual involved in the crash declined medical attention at the scene. No fatalities were reported, and no arrests have been announced.
Multiple engine crews responded to the scene and assisted with emergency operations, while sheriff’s deputies worked to secure the area and begin a preliminary investigation.
The crash led to partial closure of the intersection starting at about 11:15 a.m., disrupting traffic flow in one of Moreno Valley’s busiest areas, particularly between the Moreno Valley Mall and Campus Springs Shopping Center. The roadway was expected to reopen by around 1 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
