Coroner Identifies Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Hatch Road in Modesto

Modesto, CA – 34-year-old Arquel Rogers died after he was struck by multiple vehicles Saturday night on Hatch Road in Modesto, the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office reported.

According to the Modesto Police Department, the incident transpired around 9 p.m., May 2, on Hatch Road between Dallas Street and Ustick Road.

Rogers was hit by multiple cars under unclear circumstances.

First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Rogers’ family created a GoFundMe page to help them raise funds for his funeral and memorial expenses.

Authorities are investigating the possibility that, in addition to the vehicles that stopped after being involved in the crash, another vehicle may have fled the scene.
