Wenatchee, WA.- Authorities are investigating a deadly collision that left a juvenile dead in Wenatchee on Friday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Street-racing is believed to have played a role in the accident that occurred at about 7 p.m. on U.S. Highway 2 near Odabashian Bridge.
According to WSP, a 2018 Audi A3 was racing a vehicle believed to be a Honda Civic eastbound on a Highway 2 off-ramp when the Audi moved into the path of oncoming traffic.
The Audi crashed with a westbound 2024 GMC Sierra.
A juvenile passenger in the Audi was declared deceased at the scene.
The 18-year-old driver of the Audi and a second juvenile passenger were flown to Harborview with unspecified injuries.
Additional details on the incident were not immediately available.
The WSP is investigating the accident.
