Los Angeles County, CA – At least one person was injured after a two-vehicle collision on State Route 118 in Pacoima on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 12:15 p.m. on the eastbound SR-118 at the San Fernando Road onramp.
CHP logs indicate that a silver Dodge Colorado and a green Toyota 4Runner were involved. Reports stated that the Dodge struck an on-scene Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) driver.
At least one person, including the FSP driver, suffered minor injuries. Emergency crews responded, and the injured FSP driver was not able to use his leg and emergency personnel got him out from behind the car.
The collision caused significant disruption, with all lanes except the No. 1 lane initially blocked and the San Fernando Road onramp temporarily closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
