Tuolumne County, CA. – Authorities have identified the driver who died in a car crash that claimed the lives of three other people near La Grange in Tuolumne last week Friday.

The tragic collision happened around 5 p.m. on May 31, on Bonds Flat Road near La Grange Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

56-year-old Michael Keith, of Stockton, was driving a pickup truck northbound on Bonds Flat at a high rate of speed and was trying to pass another vehicle when he collided head-on with an oncoming SUV driven by 33-year-old Janelle Hall.

The impact of the crash embedded each of the vehicles into each other.

Keith and Hall were killed in the accident.

Two passengers in the pickup truck also died in the crash.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
