Phoenix, AZ.– Michael Hutchinson, 37, was hit and killed by a suspected DUI driver on Monday night in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The accident happened on Cave Creek Road and Dynamite Boulevard at about 11:35 p.m. August 12.

Phoenix police said an 18-year-old man was driving a GMC Terrain SUV southbound on Cave Creek Road when he got distracted by his radio and collided with Hutchinson, who was riding a bicycle in the area.

Hutchinson was killed in the crash.

The driver of the GMC stayed at the scene and was suspected of impairment and speeding.

The accident is under investigation.
