McFarland, CA.- The man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Elmo Highway in McFarland on Thursday afternoon has been identified as Jose Drusso Ferron, 60, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The accident took place on Elmo Highway and Kendrea Street at about 12:58 p.m. on November 27. 2025.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, whose cause was not immediately established.
McFarland police and medics responded to the scene and performed life-saving measures on Ferron, who was one of the drivers. Despite their efforts, Ferron succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
Details on the condition of the second driver were not immediately released.
Authorities said no arrests have been made. The accident is under investigation.
