According to investigators, Flores was driving a 2001 Honda Civic east on Panama Road when he entered the intersection and collided with a 2007 Toyota Tacoma traveling south on Tejon Highway at around 60 mph.

Man Killed in Arvin Car Accident on Panama Road Identified as Esteban Flores

Arvin, CA – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Arvin last week on Thursday morning.

Esteban Flores, 68, of Bakersfield, was the victim of the wreck that transpired at about 4:48 a.m. September 3, on Panama Road west of Tejon Highway.

According to investigators, Flores was driving a 2001 Honda Civic east on Panama Road when he entered the intersection and collided with a 2007 Toyota Tacoma traveling south on Tejon Highway at around 60 mph.

Emergency crews soon arrived and Flores was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Tacoma, a 64-year-old man from McFarland, was taken to Kern Medical with minor injuries.

The accident is under investigation by the California Higwhay Patrol.
