Lakeside, CA – The San Diego County Coroner's Office has identified a motorcyclist who died last week Wednesday from injuries sustained mid-last month on Los Coches Road as 60-year-old Matthew S. Vough from Lakeside.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Los Coches Road at Ha Hana Road at around 3:20 p.m. on February 15.
A preliminary investigation indicated that Vough was driving a motorcycle on Los Coches Road when he was ejected to the roadway after the motorcycle collided with the rear end of a Range Rover SUV making a left turn maneuver onto Ha Hana Road.
Vough was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, where his health continued to decline until death was pronounced on 03/05/2025.
No additional information about the mishap was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
