Portland, OR.– A pedestrian who died in an accident late last month in Northeast Portland has been identified as Mariya I. Stanko, 78, of Portland, according to police.
At around 8 p.m. October 29, Stanko was trying to walk across the road when she was hit by a vehicle on Northeast 102nd Avenue near Pacific Street.
Police said Stanko was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
No further details on the incident were immediately available.
The Portland Police Bureau is investigating the accident.
