Maricopa County, AZ – The teenage e-bike rider who was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Maricopa County on Monday evening has been identified.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened near Bethany Home Road and 185th Avenue at about 8 p.m. Monday, August 17.

Preliminary reports indicate that the 13-year-old boy was riding an e-bike in the area when a vehicle hit him. The exact circumstances of the collision were still under investigation.

The victim was transported to a hospital with major injuries and he later succumbed to his injuries. Family and friends have identified the victim as Nash Pryor, 13.

There have been no reports of any charges in connection with the incident. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the collision.
