Maricopa County, AZ – Multiple people were injured in a collision that occurred on 51st Avenue in Maricopa County on Sunday night.

Authorities reported that two vehicles collided near the intersection and three people were trapped in one of the vehicles. The exact circumstances on the crash were not immediately established.
The Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office and Phoenix fire officials responded to the scene shortly after and located several people injured in the incident.
Four men and a woman were all rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Officials reported that three of the patients had severe injuries.
Authorities have not released additional details on the collision. The factors of the crash remained under investigation by the Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office.
