San Diego, CA – The Authorities have released the identity of a pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle on August 24 on Home Avenue in City Heights.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office identified the pedestrian as 62-year-old Maria Mercado Alvarez.
Alvarez was struck by a vehicle at about 8:17 p.m. on August 24 in the 4500 block of Home Avenue near Fairmount Avenue.
Paramedics responded to the scene and provided lifesaving measures to no avail, with death being pronounced at the scene.
