Tracy, CA – The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner has identified two people killed in a multi-car crash a week ago on 580 Freeway in Tracy as Martinez Espinoza and Margarita Ramirez Espinoza, both ages 53, from Modesto.
The deadly wreck was reported on the afternoon of May 2 on Interstate 580 near Corral Hollow Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Investigators said at least six vehicles were involved in the incident. However, it was unclear what caused the crash.
Martinez and Margarita were pronounced dead at the crash site.
The eastbound lane of the freeway was closed and drivers were advised to divert onto Interstate 205.
More information about the incident was not provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
