Barstow, CA.- A man was injured in a big rig collision in Barstow on Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place on Interstate 15 near Lenwood Road at about 8:19 p.m. August 9.
A man was driving a blue pickup truck at a high rate of speed northbound on I-15 when he crashed into the rear of a semi tractor-trailer hauling Amazon goods.
The impact caused the pickup to overturn and the driver was pinned inside the truck.
The City of Barstow Fire Department crews responded to the scene and extricated the driver from the pickup.
The driver was then transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The other motorist was not injured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
