Orange County, Calif. – A male worker was killed at an excavation site Wednesday morning in Tustin, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

The incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. on the 9800 block of Newport Avenue.

Reportedly, the man was underground in an excavation when he sustained fatal injuries.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately released.

The cause of the accident was not immediately examined.
