Monterey Park, CA. – Two people were injured in a car collision that occurred Sunday evening on a transition road in Monterey Park.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 6:52 p.m. on the eastbound Interstate 10 to the southbound Interstate 710 transition road.
Two vehicles, including a white Chevrolet Colorado, were involved in the accident.
The Chevy had its airbags deployed. One of the vehicles reportedly caught fire with at least one occupant trapped inside.
Monterey Park firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
At least two people were injured in the crash. At least one of them had serious injuries.
The transition road was closed for an unknown period following the collision.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
