San Bernardino County, CA – A 28-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening in a motorcycle accident in San Bernardino, according to California Highway Patrol Inland Division.
The fatal accident happened at around 6:45 p.m. September 25, on Interstate 15, just north of Sierra Avenue.
Authorities said a Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle, driven by Luis Mineiro, 28, of Adelanto, was westbound on I-15 when, for unknown reasons, it lost control and overturned.
Mineiro landed on the roadway and struck the pavement, before being hit by a GMC Sierra travelling on lane #1.
Mineiro suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene.
Investigators said at least two vehicles were involved in the crash.
Police are investigating the accident.
