Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Car on Imperial Highway

Los Angeles, CA – A male pedestrian was killed Thursday night after being struck by a Chevrolet on Imperial Highway in Westmont, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The auto-pedestrian collision was reported at approximately 8:54 p.m. on October 1 at the intersection of West Imperial Highway and South Vermont Avenue.

CHP officials said a Chevrolet Tahoe struck a black male adult pedestrian. The pedestrian died as a result of the crash. The identity of the pedestrian and additional details about the crash were not provided.

The collision closed multiple lanes as emergency crews responded. Lanes 3 and 4 were shut down while the scene was investigated.

CHP later requested an evidence tow for the vehicle involved in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
