Watts, CA – A man died after he was struck by three vehicles Sunday night in Watts, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

The accident occurred around 10:03 p.m. in the 1401 block of East Imperial Highway, just south of the Nickerson Gardens community.

According to LAPD, the man was hit by three vehicles under unclear circumstances.

Paramedics responded and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

The first two vehicles failed to stop after the accident, but the third car stopped, and the driver cooperated with police officers.

The victim is believed to have been homeless.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
