Los Angeles, CA – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured following a traffic collision on Interstate 10 in Los Angeles Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:51 p.m. on the westbound Interstate 10 just east of the Bundy Drive south off-ramp on Thursday, March 12.
Preliminary reports indicate the incident involved two vehicles and a motorcycle. The vehicles collided with the motorcycle in the westbound lanes, leaving the rider seriously injured and blocking the HOV lane.
Emergency crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the injured motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities did not immediately release the rider’s identity or further details about additional injuries. Responding officers and firefighters worked to assist the injured rider, manage traffic, and coordinate vehicle removal from the roadway.
The crash caused significant traffic disruption along the westbound Interstate 10, with all lanes temporarily stopped and lanes three, four, and five blocked while authorities handled the scene. Officials later reopened the roadway after clearing the vehicles involved. The Los Angeles crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
