Linn County, OR – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving a pickup truck in Linn County on Saturday night, according to the Oregon State Police.

The incident happened on Highway 164 near milepost 7 at the intersection with Scravel Hill Road, at 10:01 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026,

OPS investigators said a green Dodge Ram, driven by 47-year-old Jason Richard Jones of Albany, was traveling westbound on Highway 164 when it collided with a red Honda motorcycle operated by 41-year-old Christopher Adam Brown of Albany, who was traveling southbound at the intersection.

Brown suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Jones was not injured in the collision.

Authorities said Jones was arrested following the crash on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), reckless driving, driving while suspended, and second-degree manslaughter. He was subsequently booked into the Linn County Jail.

Oregon State Police troopers responded to the scene and were assisted by the Jefferson Fire District, Albany Fire Department, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Highway 164 was closed for about three hours while authorities conducted the on-scene investigation and cleared the roadway.

The deadly crash remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released.
