Fresno County, CA. – At least one person suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle collision involving a big rig and a sedan in Laton on Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at approximately 1:31 p.m. Monday at the intersection of East Mount Whitney Avenue and Cedar Avenue in Fresno County.

According to the CHP incident log, a big rig with a trailer collided with a gray sedan. The impact caused one vehicle to leave the roadway and enter a field, while the other vehicle came to rest in a neighboring yard.

At least two people were involved in the crash, with one person suffering major injuries. One injured person was transported to CRMC for treatment, while another was later taken to Hanford Community Hospital.
