Colusa County, CA. – One person was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck near Williams in Colusa County on Friday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8:04 a.m. on Highway 20 near Lone Star Road.

A 1995 Honda car headed westbound on Highway 20 when it veered to the left into the eastbound lane and into the path of an oncoming 2024 International semi-truck.

The car caught on fire after the collision.

The driver of the car, 49-year-old Lars Ewing of Lakeport, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 42-year-old man from Yuba City, was hospitalized with unknown injuries.

More details on the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
