Man, 54, Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on 605 Freeway at Carson Street in Lakewood
Lakewood, California (July 3, 2023) – 54-year-old Kelly Drake, of Westminster, has been identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as the man who died in a multi-vehicle collision in Lakewood on Sunday night.
The fatal crash happened on the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway at Carson Street at around 8:14 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol says at least seven vehicles were involved in the collision, but the circumstances of the collision were not immediately established.
Drake, a passenger in one of the cars, was killed in the accident.
Another person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
