Phoenix, AZ – One man was killed and another was injured following a two-vehicle crash in west Phoenix on Saturday night, according to Phoenix police.
The deadly collision occurred at about 7:30 p.m. on November 15 near the intersection of 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
Officers responded to the scene and located two men, both suffering from severe injuries. The two patients were transported to the hospital. According to the police, one of the patients, identified as 32-year-old Juan Pineda Ventura, succumbed to his injuries a day later
The second man remained hospitalized with serious injuries.
Investigators said one of the drivers was speeding and ran a red light before hitting the other driver. Police are investigating impairment as a factor in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
